World Youth Festival

Following the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the biggest international event - the World Youth Festival – took place in the Sirius Federal territory on March 1-7, 2024.

The Festival was held under the motto “Let's Start the Future Together!”. The main idea was to bring countries together with the aim of creating a multipolar world based on the principles of justice and equality.

The City of the World's Youth

During the Festival, the Olympic Park turned into a real City of World Youth. The programme of the Festival was created on the basis of its values: responsibility for the fate of the world, multinational unity, world of opportunities for everyone, let's save the Family for the sake of children and peace, we are together with Russia.

The Festival participants were offered discussions and lectures by well-known experts, an exhibition programme, cultural exchange, sports competitions and workout sessions, volunteer campaigns and other interactive formats.

Children's programme

For the first time in the history of the Festival movement, teenagers aged 14-17 got the opportunity to participate. 500 young participants from Russia and another 500 from abroad were able to discuss the most important issues of our time and partake in shaping the future.

Regional program

The Festival geography was not limited to the Sirius federal territory only. On March 10-17, the regional programme was held: 2,000 foreign participants visited 30 cities of Russia. The participants were able to get acquainted with the history and multinational culture of the country, visit iconic memorable sites and large industrial technological enterprises.

World Youth Festival today

Today, the World Youth Festival is a permanent platform for international cooperation among young people. On the instruction of the President of Russia, the Festival will be held in our country every six years. The Directorate will continue strengthening ties among young people from across the world, hosting thematic meetings, events and preserving the Festival legacy.
