On July 22, the Summer School of the World Youth Festival Directorate (WYFD) for government officials opened at the Senezh Management Workshop of the Russia – the Land of Opportunities presidential platform. The educational program was attended by 110 young foreign civil servants and parliamentarians from over 40 countries. The Summer School for Public Officials will run until July 27.
«The first Summer School for Foreign Government Officials brought together over 100 young parliamentarians and civil servants from 42 countries, including: Mali, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, Serbia, Italy, South Africa, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and many other countries. Such a broad international composition demonstrates the growing interest in the Russian model of public administration, focused on creating opportunities for self-realization of children and young people. The Summer School for Public Officials for specialists from other countries shows that our experience is of interest to developing countries of the Global South, the post-Soviet space, and European countries», – said the head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov.
Young public officials will have a rich program, composed in several areas: public administration and youth policy, team management and leadership, digitalization and territorial development, international humanitarian cooperation, as well as business events. As part of the cultural program, participants will see excerpts from the famous ballets "The Nutcracker", "Don Quixote" and "Waltz of the Flowers", sing songs around the campfire, take part in the sports game "Path of Heroes" and much more.
«This year, the World Youth Festival Directorate launched unique educational programs for foreign citizens based on year-round educational centers. Summer schools for young designers and musicians at the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom», teachers of Russian as a foreign language and history at the Mashuk Knowledge Center have already been successfully held. A special place in this line is occupied by the Summer School for public officials at the Senezh Management Workshop. Over the course of a week, more than a hundred promising young officials and parliamentarians from different countries will analyze Russian cases, immerse themselves in the system of our public administration and adopt its successful practices. Russia has accumulated extensive experience in the development of territories, digitalization of public administration, building youth policy, harmonizing interethnic relations and other areas - and we are open to sharing this knowledge. The wide representation of countries from different regions of the globe confirms that our solutions are in demand, and their effectiveness meets the needs of young managers», – noted the Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate Dmitry Ivanov.
The educational program includes lectures, foresight sessions, panel discussions, practical research, and team-building. Experts of the Summer School for State Managers will include Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh Egor Litvinenko, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova, Head of the Scientific Council of the Center for Political Conjuncture of Russia Alexey Chesnakov, Director General of the Institute for Internet Development (IID) Alexey Goreslavsky, Chief Strategist of VEB.RF Mikhail Khomich, Director General of ANO «Dialog» Vladimir Tabak, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Dmitry Polikanov, creator of the "Gosuslugi" portal, co-founder and Director General of "SMENA," founder of "Design Weekends" Artyom Geller, and many others.
The venue for the Summer School for public administrators was the Senezh Management Workshop of the presidential platform Russia – Land of Opportunity.

Based on the results of the Summer School, a methodological guide will be prepared on the organization of public service taking into account the current tasks and challenges of our time. It will also include a collection of the best Russian practices in the field of public administration, algorithms for their implementation, as well as effective tools for international youth cooperation.

The arrival of the Summer School participants is organized within the framework of the flagship program of Rossotrudnichestvo “New Generation”.
**For reference: ** The World Youth Festival was held from March 1 to 7, 2024, in Sirius in line with the Executive Order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in order to develop international youth cooperation. 20 thousand young leaders from 190 countries of the world took part in WYF-2024. In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the WYF will be held in Russia on a regular basis - once every six years, and every 6 years 10 thousand young people from all over the world will gather at the World Youth Festival Forum, between these events, international thematic gatherings for two thousand participants from Russia and abroad will be held under the guidance of the WYF. The first Assembly will be held in September 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod. Festival events of various formats will be held in Russia annually. On the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on the preservation and development of the festival heritage, the Directorate of the World Youth Festival continues its work aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation.
