
First episode of the “V Svoey Tarelke” (In Your Element) cooking show premiered October 24. In each episode, Russian students from the “Your Move” project and international participants of the World Youth Festival team up with chefs from popular Moscow restaurants to cook dishes together.
The first season features representatives of Australia, Macedonia, Egypt, and other countries. Participants not only discuss culinary topics and current news on their respective projects, but also explore youth opportunities available in Russia. By the end of autumn, nine episodes will have aired.
Participants will prepare dishes from the Student Recipe Collection, a collaborative project created in March 2024 by Russian and international participants of the World Youth Festival. The cookbook includes traditional recipes of the peoples of Russia and various countries around the world.
“The ‘V Svoey Tarelke’ (In Your Element) cooking show is a new format of interaction for young people from different countries. The idea originated at the World Youth Festival, where participants shared their traditions, values, cultures, and cuisines. Together with the All-Russian Student Project 'Your Move’, we launched a project that vividly demonstrates that international friendship knows no borders. Young people will cook together, share their student life experiences, and learn about their international peers”, said Daniil Bisslinger, Advisor on International Affairs to the Head of Rosmolodezh and Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate.
The first episode, which is already available online, featured**Anastasia Pankiv, winner of the “Your Move” project, Deputy Chairperson of the Rosatom Student Community and student at Bauman Moscow State Technical University,**alongside Roman Dubinin, Deputy Chairperson of the Youth Council of Russian Compatriots in Australia and participant of the World Youth Festival and the “Eurasia Global” Forum.

The show is organized by the World Youth Festival Directorate and the All-Russian Student Project “Your Move”, implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. It is part of the presidential platform “Russia – Land of Opportunity”. All episodes will be available on VK Video.
Overview:
The World Youth Festival took place on March 1–7, 2024 in Sirius, according to the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of international youth cooperation. The WYF-2024 brought together 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries.
In the future, the World Youth Festival will become a platform for the development of a permanent international youth movement aimed at creating a just multipolar world. On the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the WYF will be held in Russia on a regular basis – once in six years. Also, every six years 10,000 young people from all over the world will get together at the International Youth Festival, and international themed gatherings and events will be held under the auspices of the WYF annually.
The World Youth Festival is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). The WYF-2024 was operated by the World Youth Festival Directorate.
The All-Russian Student Project “Your Move” is a large student community where everyone is ready to use their efforts and energy to create impactful projects, develop educational institutions and unlock their intellectual potential in our country. “Your Move” forms a welcoming environment to generate and develop projects and initiatives of active young people who live and create in Russia. The project is implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and is part of the presidential platform “Russia – Land of Opportunity”. Today, the project has 2,025,779 participants, over 16,500 ambassadors from across the country, and 575 partner universities. Main competitive stages of the fourth season will include two tracks: “Trailblazer” and “I Act”.
The “I Act” track features teams that present their projects and solve challenges to win the prize of 1 million rubles. The results will be revealed in December 2024.
The “Trailblazer” track allows first-year students to express themselves, dive into the student community and its opportunities, as well as learn about the youth policy ecosystem of the country by following the roadmap. Preliminary applications to participate in the 5-th season can be submitted via the “Your Move” platform. Eligible participants include citizens of the Russian Federation under the age of 35, enrolled in a higher education institution (bachelor’s, specialist’s, master’s degree), regardless of their mode of study, as of September 1, 2025. Current students of higher education institutions, final-year students of secondary vocational education institutions and 11th graders of secondary general education institutions are eligible to apply for participation in the competitive part of the project.
