About 2,000 participants of the World Youth Festival Assembly from 120 countries visited the interactive zone of the Knowledge Center “Mashuk” at the event held in Nizhny Novgorod, including 1,000 young people from Russia and another 1,000 from other countries representing all macro-regions of the world.
"The Knowledge Center is traditionally represented at the World Youth Festival. This year, we invited young people not only to take part in the business and educational program, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of “Mashuk” in our interactive zone. In this location, anyone could play educational games, talk about their mentors, attend training sessions, and ask questions to leading experts. Such activities were useful for novice teachers who are just taking their first steps in the profession, as well as for young people planning to develop in the field of education. Many of them noted the relevance of the Digital Mashuk online platform. It is a unique opportunity to receive education in Russian in sought-after fields, from cutting-edge teaching technologies to the nuances of educational work. I am confident that many of the festival participants will visit our Center in the future and undergo training in our programs," Anton Serikov, CEO of the Knowledge Center “Mashuk” and Deputy CEO of the Russian “Znanie” (Knowledge) Society, says.
He added that the interactive zone of the Knowledge Center presented master classes from distinguished teachers, during which participants in Mashuk's educational programs taught the children the basics of communication. They encouraged young people to engage in dialogue with their opponents in three different languages, which allowed them to develop "flexible" skills and understand the basics of collective critical thinking. In addition, the team of the Knowledge Center “Mashuk” brought their own development to the Assembly — the team-building cards translated into English, which allowed participants from different countries to get to know each other and ask questions. Festival participants could also visit the mentors' wall, an art object called "Vsem Mashuk" (To Everyone Mashuk), created with the help of foreign delegations. The Mashuk team helped foreign participants take part in the activities.
