The Presidential Platform Russia—Land of Opportunity plans to set a record for friendly hugs at the WYF Assembly From September 17 to 21, Nizhny Novgorod is hosting the World Youth Festival Assembly, where the presidential platform Russia—Land of Opportunity presented its booth and an extensive program of events. Master classes, games, career counseling and unique formats of live communication revealing the spirit of Russian hospitality are waiting for guests.
The booth will be symbolized by an unusual campaign “Warm Russian Embrace,” which will unite hundreds of guests from different countries. In a special area, participants will be able to exchange friendly hugs, and volunteers will keep a tally of the number of people participating in order to set a record by the end of the festival.
“The World Youth Festival Assembly is a unique point of attraction for thousands of young people from all over Russia and abroad, and it is extremely important for the Presidential Platform to be a part of it. We brought to Nizhny Novgorod not just a booth with activities, but a real live portal to the world of opportunities that Russia offers. Everyone can find something different here, from career prospects and new skills to genuine human companionship. A special symbol of our whole program is the campaign “Warm Russian Embrace.” It is much more than a gesture, it is a universal language of friendship and trust that blurs borders and cultural barriers. In a world where living warmth is so lacking, we want to set a record not only in the number of hugs, but also in the strength of emotions, showing that mutual understanding and openness are the real basis for peace and cooperation between peoples,” emphasized Andrei Betin, General Director of the Presidential Platform Russia—Land of Opportunity, Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop. “For Russian youth, participation in the Assembly is a chance to express themselves, find like-minded people and see the prospects for growth in their country. For foreign guests, it is an opportunity to really get to know Russia, feel its hospitable spirit and see the energy of the new generation. We create a space of dialog where ideas and friendships that can change the future are born.”
In the Main Fair House at the booth of the Presidential Platform Russia—Land of Opportunity, invited experts will conduct master classes on Russian folk crafts: weaving wreaths of fresh flowers, painting a samovar, kokoshniks and traditional whistle toys. Foreign guests will learn about the history and symbolism of these items and will be able to create their own souvenirs. During the musical master class participants will become a real ensemble—they will not only learn to play the balalaika, spoons and other folk instruments, but also try to perform famous compositions.
Everyone will be invited to a tea party, where foreign participants will be able to get acquainted with the traditions of Russian hospitality and the peculiarities of tea ceremony with samovar. Also at the booth, participants will be greeted by a magic mirror known from Russian fairy tales. Not only will it create an atmosphere of wonderment, but it can also answer questions. For example, you could ask him, “Who’s the fairest of them all?” and get a wise and perhaps unexpected answer.
Another interesting event will be sending collectible postcards From Russia with Love, where each participant will be able to write a message to friends and relatives and send it anywhere in the world. For this purpose, a postal zone with unique postcards created especially for the Assembly was organized at the booth. At the end of the festival, all postcards will be distributed to the addressees. From the first day of the festival, the booth Russia—Land of Opportunity will host the zones of the Presidential Platform projects: A Different Matter, Profdevelopment, Education Flagships, TopBLOG. With the help of an interactive panel, guests will be able to familiarize themselves with all the projects of the presidential platform and immediately apply for participation.
The team of the project A Different Matter prepared a motivational program for the participants of the Assembly, during which you can get gifts and souvenirs: T-shirts, shoppers, balalaikas, kokoshniks, postcards and much more, by performing tasks at the booth.
At the master class on social media management and working with the community, organized by the Olympiad “I am a Professional”, participants will understand modern tools to engage subscribers and revive the engagement in blogs. It will be possible to consolidate the acquired knowledge in the board game Group Interview. The most active will be waiting for an unusual format of the well-known game—Science Mafia.
A quiz on the school program with thematic souvenirs was prepared by the project Flagships of Education. In addition, everyone will be able to write thank you cards to their mentors and teachers, as well as register in the contest areas and useful digital services of the project—Opportunities Catalog and Content Library.
Sports fans will be waiting for a jump rope challenge and a demonstration program from the Nizhny Novgorod rope-skipping team. The winner of the first season of the project SportTrek, the head of the Omsk Federation of Russian Rope Skipping Ivan Stepanyuk, will hold a master class Leadership in motion: how sport and team reveal personality. All participants of the master class will be able to find a personal gesture reflecting inner strength and confidence, create a “leadership mosaic” and design a leadership manifesto.
With the experts of the Profrodevelopment project, participants will be able to take training sessions “Where would I like to apply myself?” and “Stay in the resource,” as well as to get career advice on CV and portfolio creation. Participants will explore their goals, compare themselves to inspirational heroes, and diagnose their professional interests.
50 foreign participants in the “Media” track will take a unique educational course from the World Youth Festival Directorate and the New Media Workshop of the presidential platform Russia—Land of Opportunity. The three-day intensive will introduce them to the key trends and challenges of today’s media sphere. Under the guidance of leading Russian and Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN) experts, participants will learn how to create high-quality engaging content, master working with neural networks and study tools to counteract the spread of fake information.
