The World Youth Festival Directorate and the "Russian Land" Foundation, led by Anna Danilova, presented a collectible scarf at the World Youth Festival Assembly. The international youth event took place from September 17 to 21, 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod and brought together 2,000 young people from 120 countries around the world.
In the center of the headscarf is a bright and vibrant: young people, holding hands, form a dance as a symbol of continuity and unity. Their silhouettes, designed in a concise manner, are filled with pure, saturated colors, which enhances the symbolism of the image. On a white background, as if on a blank sheet of the future, the figures move freely, raising their hands up – this gesture conveys the energy, openness and hopefullness of the new generation.
At the corners of the scarf are ornamental motifs that echo folk paintings, as well as recognizable symbols of the World Youth Festival of different years: palms carefully folding into a bowl in which a five-petaled flower blooms. These elements refer to the logos of the 1957, 1985, 2017 and 2024 festivals, recalling the long history of the festival movement and its enduring values of peace, friendship and dialogue of cultures.
According to the designers, the color palette of the scarf is based on a harmonious combination of life-affirming shades: sunny yellow, green and purple. The whole composition is made in a decorative style, where the main role is played by shape and color. Thanks to the laconic graphics and generalization of details, the scarf looks modern but pretty much timeless.
You can also become the owner of a collector's scarf after the end of the Assembly. The World Youth Festival Directorate, together with the "Russian Land" Foundation, launched a draw of unique scarves among subscribers of their official Telegram channels.
