The XII Youth Dialogue of the "Russia—Republic of Korea Dialogue" Forum is taking place in Seoul from August 4 to 11. In 2025, the Youth Dialogue of the forum is dedicated to the interaction of the youth of Russia and the Republic of Korea in the digital age.
On August 8, a presentation of the activities of the World Youth Festival Directorate took place within the framework of the forum. Alexey Stanonis, Head of the Department for International Cooperation with Asian and African Countries at the Department for International Cooperation, spoke about the main activities of the organization. He noted that the key event of this year will be the World Youth Festival Assembly, which will bring together 2,000 young leaders from Russia and foreign countries in Nizhny Novgorod. According to Alexey Stanonis, the visit to the Republic of Korea opens the way to sustainable cooperation between the youth of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by students and professors from leading universities of Seoul — Koryo, Kunming and Hanyang Universities, as well as Seoul National University and Seoul Cyber University, a Korean online university. A special emphasis during the discussion was placed on the exclusivity of the youth-related policies system in Russia, which has no direct analogues in Korean practice.
Young people have demonstrated a deep interest in studying the Russian youth policy system, in particular the activities of Year-round youth education centers Students specializing in the study of Russia and the CIS countries, IT specialists, future business analysts and journalists showed interest in Russian initiatives - they expressed a desire to participate directly in the implemented programs. Such broad professional coverage demonstrates the growing attention of Korean youth to Russian educational and career opportunities.

The World Youth Festival took place on March 1–7, 2024 in Sirius, according to the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of international youth cooperation. The WYF-2024 brought together 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries.
On the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the WYF will be held in Russia on a regular basis – once in six years. Also, every six years 10,000 young people from all over the world will get together at the World Youth Festival Forum, and in between, international themed assemblies for 2,000 participants will be held under the auspices of the WYF. The first Assembly is scheduled to take place in September 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod. Festival events of various formats will be held in Russia annually.
According to the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on the preservation and development of the Festival legacy, the World Youth Festival Directorate continues the work aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation.
