On June 8, as part of the Youth Programme of the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the “Removing Boundaries: Developing International Ties For Young Entrepreneurs” discussion was held.
The discussion featured Daniil Bisslinger, Advisor on International Affairs to the Head of Rosmolodezh and Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate. He noted that the WYF-2024 provided an impetus for the development of international youth entrepreneurship, and cooperation in this area would continue with the establishment of International Youth Business Councils.
“We are now actively working on creating such associations. Together with foreign partners, we are forming business communities for young entrepreneurs. These communities will become part of the international business track that will be developed with the participation of Rosmolodezh. These will be bilateral Business Councils. In fact, agreements with several countries
have already been reached” stated Daniil Bisslinger.
Stanislav Korolev, Director of the National Center for People's Diplomacy of the SCO, also emphasized the role of the World Youth Festival in fostering international youth entrepreneurship.
"When it comes to youth entrepreneurship and international youth ties, I would say these two areas are united by one word — communication. We observed this process firsthand at the World Youth Festival. It is a communication platform that brings together people from around the world who met during the event, many of whom keep in touch”, said Stanislav Korolev.
In recent years, Russian business has undergone a transformation in trade and logistics connections and the consumer market environment. According to Oleg Makarov, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), globalization provides Russian entrepreneurs with opportunities to expand their presence on international platforms, including electronic ones.
“Rosmolodezh also recognizes the importance of young Russian entrepreneurs entering foreign markets, which is why we are implementing the Programme for the Development of Russian Youth Entrepreneurship in Foreign Countries, operated by the Rosmolodezh.Business track. The programme was launched last year, and we can already see its initial results. In 2023 alone, as part of three business missions, 33 export contracts were signed, totaling 210 million rubles. This year, we are expanding the programme's geography and plan to introduce a mentoring system, including training young entrepreneurs to conduct face-to-face meetings with potential foreign partners and assisting them throughout the process”, noted Oleg Makarov.
The discussion brought together Russian and international experts, including representatives of leading companies, universities, chambers of commerce and industry, and international cooperation organizations.
