
The III CIS and EAEU Youth Forum was held in Minsk, Belarus, from October 1-3. The event brought together more than 100 promising leaders from Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to form real solutions and launch projects aimed at consolidating and improving the lives of young people in the space of the two integration associations.
The Russian delegation included representatives of Rosmolodezh, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Directorate of the World Youth Festival, regional youth organizations, public associations, and young entrepreneurs from the Rosmolodezh.Undertake community and young scientists.
The business program of the forum was held in four key areas: media, education and science, youth initiatives and innovative entrepreneurship. The event included webinars on artificial intelligence, foresight tracks, and panel discussions where experts discussed digital challenges and opportunities, the formation of a common scientific and educational space, business ideas for young people, and initiatives aimed at uniting the peoples of the CIS and the EAEU.
Russian representatives actively shared their experience and presented key projects of the Russian youth ecosystem. Among them are tools to support young media professionals and the work of the year-round youth educational center "SHUM", the development of youth entrepreneurship and the Rosmolodezh.Undertake community, Rosmolodezh.Grants competitions, youth and student tourism programs. Special attention was paid to the creation of a unified educational space of the CIS and the EAEU, the formation of the Eurasian scientific elite and the preservation of national approaches to education in the member countries of the associations.
"The development of youth cooperation in the CIS and the EAEU remains a key area of Rosmolodezh's work. A vivid confirmation of this was the World Youth Festival Assembly in Nizhny Novgorod, which was attended by about 400 children from the countries of the associations. The III CIS and EAEU Youth Forum in Minsk is one of the steps to consolidate the youth community through the exchange of experience gained in Russia and the launch of joint initiatives. The developed projects will have a real practical implementation and will have a significant impact on the development of a unified youth space in our countries," said Grigory Gurov, head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
In addition to the rich business program, cultural and educational events were organized for the participants. The delegates visited the key technological and educational centers of Belarus: the Hi-Tech Park, the National Children's Technopark and the Science and Technology Park of the Belarusian National Technical University "Polytechnic".
Also, within the framework of the forum, the participants laid flowers at the stele "Minsk is a hero City" and visited the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. The gala dinner, a presentation of the national traditions of the CIS and EAEU countries, also became a symbol of unity and mutual understanding.
At the closing ceremony, representatives of the youth departments of the participating countries, including the Russian delegation, were thanked by the Ministry of Education of Belarus for their active participation in the preparation and holding of the event.
Overview:
The World Youth Festival took place on March 1–7, 2024 in Sirius, according to the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of international youth cooperation. The WYF-2024 brought together 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries.
On the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the WYF will be held in Russia on a regular basis – once in six years. Also, every six years 10,000 young people from all over the world will get together at the International Youth Festival, and in between, international themed assemblies for 2,000 participants will be held under the auspices of the WYF. The first Assembly is scheduled to take place in September 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod.
Festival events of various formats will be held in Russia annually. According to the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on the preservation and development of the Festival legacy, the World Youth Festival Directorate continues the work aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation.
