On November 4, National Unity Day, the holiday will be celebrated throughout the country in the form of social campaigns, sports events, and educational activities that embody the idea of unity, solidarity, and mutual respect among all nations. The events will be held under the theme "Russia is a Family of Families." The event, organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, will also be supported by the Directorate of the World Youth Festival.
The main platform for holding events will be Dobro.Rf, which offers educational activities and thematic blocks where you can choose the direction you prefer to help others. Some of the key areas include "Health Care: from Families for Families," which includes organizing health days, educational lectures by medical families, first aid courses, and donation events; "Support for Military Personnel and Their Families," which includes weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, collecting humanitarian aid, and visiting hospitals; "Ecology with Families" includes family clean-ups, assistance to animal shelters, and charity fairs. "The Power of Families: Support and Mutual Assistance" focuses on creating mutual assistance groups, supporting large families, and helping the elderly.
"Russia's uniqueness lies in the fact that our country unites millions of citizens of different nationalities, hundreds of peoples, and various religions. On National Unity Day, we will hold a large-scale action called "Russia is a Family of Families" in both large cities and municipalities and villages, where every Russian citizen and their family can help the Special Military Operation soldiers and their families, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, meet with Heroes of Russia, and participate in events that will emphasize the unity of all the peoples of Russia, which has a common history, shared values, and responsibility for the future of a great country," said Grigory Gurov, Head of the Russian Youth Federal Agency.
Russian and foreign representatives of the WYFD International Friendship Clubs will join the celebration from the regions of Russia. So, in the Volgograd Region, the celebration will take place as part of the Festival of Russian Cuisine: young people from different countries will take part in a race in Russian folk costumes, visit a craft fair, an exhibition of retro cars, and interactive and musical venues, and also try national dishes — porridges, pancakes, pelmeni and much more. The international team of the International Friendship Club of the Leningrad Region will take part in a workshop on making a folk doll, learn the history of the holiday, and everyone will be able to test their knowledge of Russian culture in the quiz "Russian Code". In the Republic of Mari El, the celebration will take place as part of the XII Youth Festival of National Cultures of the Republic of Mari El "Unity in Friendship". The WYFD International Friendship Club of the region will host various events, including a cultural program, a tea ceremony, an ethnoquiz, performances by talented artists, exciting workshops, and friendly gatherings. According to the organizers, the festival will be a celebration of unity, creativity, and friendship. In the Republic of Mordovia, the club will host an intercultural meeting, in the Samara Region, the Great Ethnographic Dictation will take place, and in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Ugra, the sports relay race for foreign students "Unity is Strength" will be held. Representatives of the International Friendship Club of the Komi Republic will take on the role of representatives of various peoples of Russia and demonstrate their culture to other students as part of the Festival of the Peoples of Russia "The Power of Traditions".
As part of the "Russia is a Family of Families" campaign, foreign citizens will also record video messages of congratulations on National Unity Day in Russian and their native languages. Families from different regions of Russia will demonstrate the country's cultural diversity and unity by filming videos in their national costumes with historical landmarks of their regions on background and congratulating Russian citizens on National Unity Day.
Traditionally, the "Educational Dialogues" will be an important part of the holiday. The lecturers of the Russian “Znanie” (Knowledge) Society will hold meetings in schools, universities, and youth venues, discussing the historical significance of the holiday and its role in strengthening national identity. Dialogues with Heroes of the Special Military Operation and their families will take center stage, where they will share stories of frontline brotherhood and support for their loved ones in a live format.
Rospatriotcentr of Rosmolodezh is organizing a large-scale information campaign called "Hero of His Country" on social media, so that the stories of military personnel and their families can serve as an example of true courage and love for the Motherland. The theme of national unity will be reflected in all of Rosmolodezh's projects and programs.

The World Youth Festival took place on March 1–7, 2024 in Sirius, according to the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of international youth cooperation. The WYF-2024 brought together 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on preserving and developing the legacy of the World Youth Festival, which took place on the Sirius Federal Territory in 2024 and united 20,000 young people from 190 countries of the world, festival events on the territory of the Russian Federation will be held annually. The next World Youth Festival for 20,000 participants will be held in 2030. In 2026, there will be a smaller event, an International Youth Festival with 10,000 participants. In between, the World Youth Festival’s themed Assemblies will be held annually for 2,000 participants.
The first World Youth Festival Assembly was held in Nizhny Novgorod from September 17 to 21, 2025 and brought together 2,000 young people from 120 countries. The World Youth Festival Directorate continues the work aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation.
