On August 13, talks were held to discuss the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of youth policy. The event featured Daniil Bisslinger, Advisor on International Affairs to the Head of Rosmolodezh and Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate, and Zhang Wei, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, Daniil Bisslinger presented projects aimed at the preservation of the WYF-2024 legacy and development of the international youth movement.

“2024 marks two important events in the history of Russian-Chinese relations: the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries and the opening of the reciprocal Years of Culture of Russia and China. Of course, we paid special attention to involving young leaders from the PRC in the preparation and participation in WYF-2024. As a result, the Chinese delegation, consisting of 450 people, became one of the most active and noticeable ones at the Festival. It is clear that Chinese youth is showing interest in international youth projects held in Russia. In this regard, we will continue to increase the momentum of interaction with Beijing in the international youth cooperation track”, said Daniil Bisslinger.

Zhang Wei stated that Russia and China share a common goal, which is to give young leaders the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, history, traditions, and values of both countries and implement joint projects. According to him, such experience will serve as a foundation for strong relations between the two great powers. The Ambassador supported the idea of developing bilateral youth cooperation and emphasized the need for its implementation as part of the activities of the Youth Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace, and Development.
