The Rosmolodezh program “More than Trip” has become the general partner of the first World Youth Festival Assembly, which will be held from September 17 to 21 in Nizhny Novgorod. Main Fair House of Nizhny Novgorod will be the central venue for the event.
During the Assemblyl, members of the "Guides of Meanings. Excursion Guides," which is being developed by the “More than Trip” program, will conduct excursions for participants, guests of honor, and delegations. “More Than Trip” has also prepared cultural and business formats and a unique exhibition that will introduce Russian youth and foreign guests to the country's best sights.
The excursions for the participants of the WYF Assembly will be held from September 17 to 20 in Nizhny Novgorod by certified tour guides — members of the "Guides of Meanings”. They will introduce guests to the capital of the Volga region, the Main Fair House and the main locations of the Assembly, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and Strelka, one of the city's main natural attractions at the confluence of the Oka and Volga rivers. Excursion programs are also planned for delegation representatives, guests of honor, and volunteers. Themed excursions starting point will be set up on the square in front of the exhibition center, with a recreation and communication area and an information desk where participants can check the schedule of excursion programs. On the first day of the Assembly, participants will take a tour of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, with professional tour guides assisted by the winners of the “Guides of Meanings: School for Young Tour Guides” competition. These talented children and teenagers aged 12 to 18 have been given a unique opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by becoming part of a large-scale youth event. The educational project was launched in July by Grigory Gurov, head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
One of the pavilions at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair will host a special exhibition featuring photographs of 30 landmarks selected as winners of the nationwide competition “From the Southern Seas to the Polar Region,” organized by the program “More than Trip”. The exhibition will allow participants to get acquainted with unique locations in Russian regions, memorable places of the Great Victory, and our country's achievements without leaving Nizhny Novgorod. The winners in the “Points of Attraction” category were selected by popular vote, with more than 65,000 votes cast during the competition. After the competition ended, the website mestagordosti.rf became a valuable source of information for anyone who loves to travel and plan their own itineraries.
As part of the cultural program, there will be an ambient private acoustic concert (kvartirnik) featuring contemporary performer Stas More, who will not only introduce listeners to his work, but also talk about “More than Trip”. Participants will hear the songs “Rodnye-lyubimye” (Nearest and dearest), “Bud pervym” (Be the First), “Mechtai” (Dream), and other compositions that will allow young people from all over the world to share common values.
The speaker for the business program will be Italian pianist and blogger Lorenzo Bagnati, who received his musical education in Russia. Immersive readings of authentic travelers' notes and travelogues are designed to convey through the spoken word the emotions and impressions that traveling around the country brings, helping guests rediscover Russia. This format will broaden the perception of tourism as an important cultural and personal experience.
