On September 18, at the World Youth Festival Assembly held on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, a unique educational course for 50 foreigners was started. The three-day intensive course will be conducted by the festival's management in conjunction with the New Media Workshop, an educational program for experienced media professionals created by the ANO Dialogue and the Senezh Management Workshop of the presidential platform “Russia – Country of Opportunities”.
Among the main topics of the training are working with key trends and challenges in the contemporary media sphere. Under the guidance of leading Russian experts, as well as experts from the Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN), participants will learn how to create high-quality, engaging content, master working with neural networks, and study tools for countering the spread of fake information.
The program's speakers will include Lily Ong, GFCN expert, geopolitics and cybersecurity analyst at Geopolitics360, Alexander Skatsky, neural network expert and head of the targeting department at ANO Dialog Regions, Anastasia Zalata, Press Secretary of the New Media Workshop, and other experts.
"For several years in a row, we have seen growing interest in the tools and approaches used in the Russian media landscape from the professional community in other countries. I am confident that Russia has much to be proud of in this regard – platforms, a support system for content creators, and, of course, a system of professional standards and training. Our media standards are of interest both to experienced foreign media specialists who come to the main training courses offered by the New Media Workshop, which already includes representatives from 11 countries, and to young people from dozens of countries who have begun intensive training. And our international activities are not limited to this. For example, at the competition for selection for training in the New Media of Abkhazia program, which ended a few days ago, based on the Workshop's standards and with the participation of experts from Russia, there were more than 10 applicants per place," Yulia Ablets, Deputy Director General of ANO "Dialog Regions" and founder of the "New Media Workshop", says.
It is expected that after the intensive course, its participants will establish an international content center – a permanent community for sharing experience, training, and the production and promotion of content about Russia aimed at a young audience.
