Friendship knows no borders: new regions of Russia are actively involved in strengthening of international youth cooperation
International Friendship Clubs were opened in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as in the Zaporozhye region.
New regions have opened their doors to young people from different countries. So, the young people of the LPR will interact with the representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia, the DPR — with the youth of South Ossetia, and the leaders of the Zaporozhye region will establish friendly relations with the youth of Tajikistan. In 2024, the International Friendship Club in the Kherson region will also start its work — it will strengthen international cooperation with Montenegro.
"New regions of Russia have joined the active work on the development of youth interaction between representatives of different countries. International Friendship Clubs is the flagship project of the World Youth Festival Directorate, it clearly demonstrates that young people from all over the world are ready to unite, to share their experience and to stand for open dialogue. The program proves that friendship between the youth of the whole planet knows no borders. International Friendship Clubs are widely popular not only in Russia, but also abroad: they have already been opened in about 60 regions of our country, and more than 110 foreign countries have already joined the project," said Daniil Bisslinger, Advisor on International Affairs to the Head of Rosmolodezh, Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate.
Club members will participate in cultural and educational exchange, develop and implement joint projects in the field of science, culture, sports and education. Language webinars, master classes and interviews with public opinion leaders from different countries are waiting for young people. The clubs work on 5 tracks: media, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, regional specifics and community.
"The International Friendship Club is a bridge between the Zaporozhye region and the civil society of other countries. It helps to build horizontal ties between active youth from different countries," said Denis Tatarchenko, Head of the International Friendship Club in the Zaporozhye region.
By the end of December, it is planned to open 90 International Friendship Clubs in all regions of Russia, as well as in the Sirius Federal Territory.
