On September 20, at the World Youth Festival assemly held on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, experts from Avito Travel, Avito Auto, Avito Jobs, and Avito Advertising shared trends, practical advice, and tools to help develop.

Raul Salakhov, Head of Service Development for Landlords at Avito Travel, spoke about trends in tourism in Russia and in the daily rental market, and shared why this area is promising for business and has great potential. The speaker not only shared his experience, but also answered the most interesting questions from the audience and gave practical advice on how to get started effectively, what to pay attention to, and what life hacks to use to achieve results in this field.

“The daily rental market in Russia is developing rapidly: according to our forecasts, by the end of 2025, its volume will grow to 381 billion rubles, and by 2028 — to 549 billion. Right before our eyes, hosts across the country are creating a culture of hospitality and improving the level of service,” Raul Salakhov, Head of Service Development for Landlords at Avito Travel, says.

Lyudmila Vavilova, senior manager for key accounts at Avito Jobs, noted that job platforms have become the main source for finding vacancies today, and they are especially popular among young people. To make this process more efficient and secure, specialized platforms are actively implementing digital technologies.

“Job platforms are the main sources for finding vacancies, especially popular among young people. Specialized platforms implement digital technologies to improve search efficiency and user safety. For example, on the Avito Jobs platform, job seekers can filter vacancies by age (including for students or teenagers aged 14-16) and work experience, internships, part-time jobs, and other employment formats. Badges in the employer's profile, such as “Company verified,” “Market salary,” “Employer reviews,” and others provide additional confidence when searching for jobs. The CV creation process becomes easier and faster with the one-click CV creation feature and A-Vibe's proprietary language model, which improves the description of the candidate's experience,” Lyudmila Vavilova notes.

Timur Osipov, Director of Special Equipment Section at Avito, spoke about the potential of digital technologies, which in the current reality are capable of transforming business in any market, even one as conservative as special equipment. He talked about how an ecosystem of small players capable of meeting the specific needs of a target audience segment is building up around corporations that are changing the market landscape. The expert also shared advice with event participants on how to launch a start-up with small amounts of seed funding.

“The special equipment market has long been considered conservative because it was dominated by large players accustomed to working according to principles established over many years. But we bet on new technologies and see that it was the right strategy, because 65% of equipment is now sold online. We have managed to become the main platform for buying and renting special equipment by offering a convenient interface for both sellers and buyers and increasing the transparency and security of transactions. We have gathered partners around us – IT companies, manufacturers, retail chains – and signed an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. We hope that this example of a technological solution to a complex business problem will inspire young people to implement their own entrepreneurial ideas, and that our experience and insights will be useful to those who want to start their own business, regardless of the industry they choose to develop,” Timur Osipov comments.

Anna Savko, manager for relations with advertising agencies at Avito, spoke about modern promotion tools that help businesses attract customers and increase sales. Participants also learned how supply and demand analytics work, what factors influence the position of ads in search results, and what opportunities Avito's advertising account offers.

“Today, advertising on Avito is not just about placing ads, but a full-fledged marketing tool. We provide businesses with clear analytics, the ability to choose their own promotion model, and flexible budget management. This makes advertising accessible to companies of any size and helps them find customers quickly,” Anna Savko says.
