The volunteer program of the International Festival of Youth was presented as part of the All-Russian Student Forum "Tvoy Hod - 2025" ("Your Turn - 2025"). 1,500 young people learned how to become volunteers at the largest international youth event in 2026.
The forum participants got acquainted with the history of the festival movement in our country and the key role of volunteers in international events. They learned that volunteers over the age of 16 will be able to participate in the IFY-2026 volunteer program. Candidates must have volunteer experience, knowledge of foreign languages, a high level of motivation, sociability, as well as the ability to work in a team.
"Our approach to working with volunteers is a mutual investment strategy. We see you as partners and therefore we are building a system based on the principles of respect, growth and openness. But most importantly, we are creating a community of like-minded people, which begins to form even before the Festival. Volunteering at the IFY-2026, which will bring together 10,000 participants from 190 countries, is an investment in oneself. You get a unique global experience, access to exclusive events, networking with people from all over the world, as well as the ability to work in a team and support each other. All this is a contribution to the development of your skills and career opportunities," Regina Denisova, head of the volunteer corps of the International Festival of Youth, addressed the forum participants.
The application campaign for the volunteer corps of the International Festival of Youth started on December 5. Registration takes place on the Dobro.rf platform until March 31, 2026 at the link: https://dobro.ru/event/11434992
From February to May, interviews with volunteers will take place, followed by face-to-face training. After that, the volunteers who have successfully passed all the selection stages will be assigned and trained in functional areas. The volunteer corps will include 2,000 people.
The volunteers will help in 17 functional areas. They will create a comfortable and festive atmosphere for guests, deal with accreditation and logistics issues, assist medical staff, accompany experts, foreign and Russian delegations, provide support to participants with limited mobility, provide interpretation and translation, participate in the organization of sightseeing programs, create content for social networks and interact with the media. After the end of the main program, the volunteers will accompany foreign delegations within the framework of the IFY-2026 regional program.
